Joe Becigneul - Community Relationships {City of St. Albert Council Nominations}

(Over the next few weeks, I will be thanking the St. Albert electors who have chosen to support me through their signing of my nomination papers.)

Joe Becigneul

One of my priorities on council is to ensure that discussions are respectful, productive, and fact-based; Joe is an incredible example of a community leader living these values. Through his involvement with the St. Albert Minor Hockey Referees Associations, on the NABI Board of Directors, the St. Albert and District Chamber of Commerce, and through his work in Member of Parliament Brent Rathgeber’s constituency office, Joe has become well-known and respected in our community.

Joe and I first crossed paths during his successful campaign running for Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools Trustee in 2015, and then through his appointment as the Executive Director of the St. Albert CIVC. As a passionate advocate for children in the St. Albert school system, Joe has provided valuable information about the intent and direction of the trustees. He has also been wonderful at responding to concerns about the direction of the CIVC, and at modernizing the direction of this longstanding St. Albert community organization.

I am honoured to have Joe’s support in my campaign for City Council, and I look forward to working with him after the October 16 civic election; His role in fostering community relationships will continue to ensure that St. Albert remains one of the best places to live and raise a family.
